A través de Twitter, Rockstar Games anunció que suspendería momentáneamente el acceso a los modos online de GTA V y Red Dead Redemption 2, esto con el objetivo de rendir honor a George Floyd, cuya muerte injusta impulsó el movimiento #BlackLiveMatters. La pausa dura 2 horas y se lleva a cabo hoy 4 de junio entre las 14:00 y las 16:00hrs. hora de Chile. Además de esta información, la compañía compartió una página web que enumera una lista de organizaciones benéficas que luchan contra la injusticia racial y a la cual sus seguidores pueden apoyar.

Esta información fue respaldada por Take-Two Interactive, la gigante dueña de 2K Games, Rockstar Games, Social Point y Private División, que informó que dichos estudios suspenderían sus actividades temporalmente como símbolo de homenaje a Floyd.
